China SIPO《Patent Official Fee Reduction Regulation》 will be terminated from September 1, 2016
Regulation No. 39《Patent Official Fee Reduction Regulation》issued by SIPO (State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C) will be terminated from September 1, 2016. According to the updated Official Fee Reduction Regulation, the applicants have to login the system for registration in advance.
From September 1, 2016, those who filing patent applications in Mainland China, and meeting the criteria of patent fee reduction, all need to bring forward to login the patent fee reduction registration system. The patent official fee reduction can only be applied by means of electric application, do not accept paperwork application.
However, if the applicants request for patent official fee reduction before August 31, 2016, they still need to provide 《Patent Official Fee Reduction Request》and relevant application file according to current Patent Official Fee Reduction Regulation.
